Founded in 1961, the Fort Erie Underwater Recovery Unit (FEURU) was established to assist in the search and recovery of people and property in local waterways. Today, as a volunteer-based, registered not-for-profit, we continue to offer these vital services while focusing on diving safety, environmental stewardship, and the enjoyment of Niagara River drift diving.

Our historic clubhouse, originally a municipal water pumping station built in 1902, is located on the Niagara River in Fort Erie. Owned and operated by club members, it serves as a base for both diving and community engagement.
